After a decade of Corporate life, my wife and I were exhausted, unfulfilled, disillusioned and burnt out from the endless routine that had no end in sight.  Our friends and family were confused by how we felt because after all ... we had "Made It", no?

Six figure jobs, good benefits and a cubicle. What else could we possibly want. The problem is that we were extremely unhappy. After all, was this it? Work another 30 years and hope to retire with enough health to try and enjoy the "Golden Years"? Just didnt sound like the best plan, for us anyways. We wanted to be  done trading our time for money and letting a job dictate how we spent our days. We wanted to figure out how to be in control of our own destiny and accomplish the financial independence required to live the life of our dreams. 

Admittingly, we didn't have the answers to our problem but we knew we couldn't be the only ones that felt like this about the cubicle life so we decided to start this community so there would be a support group for others and together we could figure out how to close the gap between those that have already accomplished our goal (Quit our jobs and start our own business) and those stuck climbing the ladder with no defined path out.
